My name is Angelo Libutti.

I would like this letter to stand as an introduction for who I am. I aspire to contribute my skills as a creative director, animator, concept and storyboard artist, as well as my creativity and boundless energy to your company in all your future projects. I have attached a copy of my resume and few letters of reference in for you to review. As a graduate of Sheridan's esteemed Classical Animation program, my passions lay in Directing and Storyboards, as well as in 3D animation.

Some of the people that will view my portfolio will ask to themselves what aspect or skill I like to use most in the animation or live action industry. My answer in reference to this is that a good artist loves art unconditionally. I think that as long the job that will be offered to me will show a space for creativity, willingness to explore different solutions, and be in a happy environment.

Furthermore, my ultimate dream is to become a director. I have been inspired and have tried to learn from the greatest directors such as: Walt Disney, John Lasseter, Brad Bird, Ridley Scott and others. These were all good artists first before they became directors. I truly believe that in order to be able to lead a large number of people from different departments, a person needs to respect and understand what and how important their work is. When a person can relate to someone immediately, he or she can instill a good vibe and a great harmony in the studio, and they will respect you instruction.

For those who know me already, I am serious when it comes to doing the job right, I am a very focused individual, who thrives in an environment with stimulating ideas, and creative exchange. For this reason, I consider myself first and foremost a team player. I am a workaholic that accepts every challenge probably due to my past experience in doing sports. I played professional soccer, and was a swimmer for eight years, four of which were as a swimming instructor. I also played tennis for recreation, as well as volleyball. I played on the college team for one year, and I received a level three achievement award for SkipperWhite Sail.

I respect and admire the work that a company like Sony, Pixar, DreamWorks, ILM, Disney and other one too many to list them all, has done over the years in feature film. I believe the magic of this companies lies in the fact that everyone is as incredibly passionate and committed to their work as they are talented. I think I can bring this kind of commitment and talent to Them. My dream is to work for a company that truly understands every aspect of the creative process in film – from the hand-drawn concept and storyboards, all the way to post-production. If this is the way that your company works, then I would love to be part of your team.

Since I was very young, I have always been amazed at how a simple drawing, animated or not, could spark incredibly varied emotions, ranging from sadness to exhilaration. An exceptional animated film has the capability of molding your imagination and taking you where a regular film cannot, by using the skills of the artists who brought that vision to light. For example, Walt Disney is an exceptional film maker and I admire his philosophy and what he has done by building a new art form and making it "the art form" where all types of arts merge together to create one. I have always dreamt of being a mechanism in this grand clock that marks time and life in each one of us.

Finally, I truly believe that I can add to the team of talent you already have assembled. I feel this way because I am exactly what you are looking for - a team player. I love the camaraderie and energy that comes with working closely with others as talented as me towards a project that would be insurmountable alone. If there a perfect convergence of this creative energy exists, I'm pretty sure it lies within your company, and I want to be a part of it.
